Bread and Roses, Too by Katherine Paterson

"Bread and Roses Too" is a historical novel. It is about a girl named Rosa whose mother and sister are going in to strike. Rosa is very frightened; she thinks that her mother and sister are going to die. Then, the worst thing happens; her mother sends her away to Barre, Vermont. She gets very upset and scared; she is going to be staying with strangers. She keeps trying to persuade her mother, to get out of strike, so she doesn’t have to go away to Vermont with strangers.
