Pippi in the South Seas by Astrid Lindgren

Pippi has no mother and her father is the King of Kurrekurredut Island in the South seas. Her only friends are Tommy and Annika, from next door, her horse and her pet monkey, Mr. Nilsson. She is very surprised when she gets a letter from her father asking her to come visit the Kurrekurredut Island. She takes her horse, her monkey, Tommy and Annika.
