Pollyanna by Eleanor H. Porter

Pollyanna moved to her Aunt’s house. Now, she lives in a small New England town that is very different from the place she grew up. Her Aunt isn’t used to children but Pollyanna had a lot of adventures there. One day, she went to visit Ms. Snow who couldn’t walk and needed to stay all day on bed. On her way back home, she saw a dog making a kind of sign for her to see Mr. Pedlenton, who was lying on the floor with his broken foot.
